- Nov 20: Acast started trading on NASDAQ Stockholm today. Celebrating today: Marianne Boström, Chief People Officer; Lizzy Pollott, Chief Communications & Brand Officer; Emily Villatte, CFO; Greg Glenday, CEO; Daniel Adrian, General Counsel. The shares are currently down about -1.75%, but year-on-year the Acast share price has more than doubled, up +105.33%.
- Nov 13: In the US, Shots Podcast Network has joined the Cumulus Podcast Network for ad representation. Shows include the Full Send Podcast, which has attracted high-profile guests like Trump, Musk, and Tyson ... In Australia, NOVA Podcasts has renewed its representation partnership with Podshape. Podshape launched in 2020 and produces original series and branded content ... and in the UK, Got A Problem Mate? has joined Lock It In for ad representation, while The Girls Bathroom is to be produced by AudioAlways. The show will continue to be commercially represented by Acast.
- Nov 4: Acast has released Podcast Pulse 2025, its second set of data into global podcast listeners, for the brands who wish to reach them. The report contains useful data for all of podcasting, and useful phrases to help explain our medium: “Podcasts are sought, not served” is a favourite of ours. Audio remains the main consumption channel for podcasts, the company says, even though more people use video podcasts than audio ones; and more people consume the ads in podcasts than on other media, including streaming music, YouTube and radio.
- Oct 30: Acast released an interim financial report for Q3/25, entitled “strong profitable growth”. North America net sales grew by +58% year-on-year, but European growth was also substantial, at +27%. The “Average Revenue Per Listen” grew by +33% to 6 cents. Acast made a profit in the quarter of around $750,000, and has issued new financial targets.
- Oct 29: In Australia as part of a major media event, ARN’s iHeart Australia announced a set of new original podcasts, including a partnership with Nine networks; and a significantly enhanced podcast slate, including the chart-topping Australian True Crime, which will move from Acast. ARN also announced a distribution and sales podcast deal with Are Media, which owns many of Australia’s biggest women’s publishing brands.
