About Audio Always
Audio Always is an independent production company developing and producing podcasts, radio programmes and audiobooks. We deliver more than 500 hours of audio content each month across a range of genres for listeners worldwide.
Our work includes the weekly podcasts ‘Help I Sexted My Boss’, ‘The Girls Bathroom’, ‘Get A Grip’ and ‘UK True Crime’. We also deliver factual series, with our recent releases ‘Answers For Claudia’, ‘The Pitcairn Trials’ and ‘Carrie Jade Does Not Exist’ all reaching number one in the Apple Podcasts chart.
We also produce daily, weekly and ad hoc radio programmes including Craig Charles for BBC Radio 6 Music, Paddy McGuiness and OJ Borg for BBC Radio 2, Life Hacks for BBC Radio 1 and Selector Radio for The British Council.
Launched in 2012, Audio Always is proudly headquartered at Media City, Manchester with studios in Farringdon, London.

- Jul 6: The British Podcast Awards 2026 released its longlist - recognising 409 entrants across 27 categories. Almost half the longlist are claimed to be independent titles and talent. We see at least 53 nominations for the BBC, eleven for Audible, eight for Audio Always, Platform Media and Bauer Media, seven for Persephonica and Fun Kids, five for Rethink Audio, Sky News, Bloomberg and History Hit, four for Novel and Podmasters, three for Sony and Avalon. One notable indie who has a nomination: the 19 year-old Answer Me This!. Goalhanger, the UK's largest independent podcast company, did not enter; Global also appears not to have put their shows forward.
- Jun 5: Back Your Body is new today from UK health brand Holland & Barrett, and produced by Audio Always. The show is hosted by comedian and broadcaster Ellie Taylor. In one of the opening episodes, Bradley Wiggins talks about the body that won him Olympic gold — and carried him through addiction.
- Jun 2: Continuity announcements have been part of broadcast media for ages - "in half an hour, The Waltons. Now, though - here's Lucille Ball." Audio Always thinks they have a place in podcasting, with continuity announcements to introduce new shows to listeners. The company has written up how well they've worked.
- May 20: Audio Always has appointed Nicky Unsworth as non-exec Chair. The Manchester-based podcast producer has announced it has doubled its downloads year-on-year.
- Mar 11: In a major change in the UK, the Elis James and John Robins show will be the first podcast that is commercially available under a new BBC Audio Release policy. The new commercial opportunities include the back catalogue of the popular show, which won Best Comedy Show in the British Podcast Awards last October. It’s made by Significant Productions, and will be monetised by Audio Always.
