- May 15: The company also announced live partners for Spotify Video Distribution (which allows your podcast host to directly upload video for you into Spotify). Libsyn, Podigee, Audioboom, Audiomeans, and Podspace are all live with the feature today. Spotify Video Distribution was announced in January; Acast and Omny Studio were both highlighted as launch partners then, but aren't yet live. Spotify is now explicit in the FAQ that if you change your mind, you can transition your show back to an audio-only RSS feed - but the company warns you, you'll lose all video uploads.

More video is coming. At Podcast Movement Evolutions at SXSW, Stacey Goers and Jake Shapiro from Apple Podcasts announced a number of new podcast hosting partners for the upcoming Apple Podcasts HLS video feature. Transistor, Audiomeans, PodBean, Captivate, RSS
.com and Podigee are all soon to support HLS video on Apple Podcasts. The companies join Acast, Omny Studio, ART19 and Simplecast. - Mar 11: Audiomeans, a French podcast hosting company, has re-certified for IAB Podcast Measurement Guidelines v2.2.
- Feb 21, 2025: After last year’s Podnews Report Card highlighted the difficulty of submitting a show to Apple Podcasts, Apple has fixed things - rolling out a new, streamlined, process to automatically submit a show for creators using selected podcast hosts. It removes the requirement to open an Apple account first. The launch podcast hosts are: Audioboom, Audiomeans, Ausha, Blubrry, Buzzsprout, Captivate, Castos, Hubhopper, Libsyn, Pinecast, Podbean, Podspace and Transistor.
- Sep 18, 2024: Buzzsprout has achieved the latest IAB Podcast Measurement Guidelines compliance to v2.2. Megaphone achieved v2.2 in late July; Captivate and Audiomeans are the only other podcast hosting companies to be compliant with the latest standard.
