- Dec 5: Exclusive: PRX and AudioUK have announced a 2026 Podcast Creator Summit in London, UK, inviting podcasters of all experience levels to share and gain insights spanning the art and business of making podcasts and audio. The free summit is organised in partnership with Apple Podcasts, and will be held at Battersea Power Station in February. The press release contains details of tickets: you can sign up now.
- Nov 28: The winners of the APAs from AudioUK were announced in London. The organisers of Sheffield’s Crossed Wires Festival, which took place in early July, were presented with the AudioUK Award. We’ve a full list of the winners.
- Nov 7: Chloe Straw is to leave AudioUK after what the organisation calls “a transformative tenure”. “It has been an honour and a joy to lead AudioUK, to witness and be part of the incredible evolution of this industry that I love.”
- Oct 16: Over 400 UK podcasting and audio businesses have signed an open letter to the UK government demanding recognition in the Creative Industries Strategy, which could lead to funding for IP development or access to tax relief. The letter was issued by AudioUK, who also announced that the UK’s DCMS has committed to commissioning a research study to measure key data across the podcast and audio industry.
- Oct 2: Free training for podcast and audio professionals has been made available by Audiotrain from AudioUK in partnership with the BBC. The platform contains a wide range of on-demand courses, available for free to anyone in the world. Among the 19 courses currently available: “YouTube for Podcasts”, “Negotiating like a pro”, and “Social Media for podcasts”.
