- Jun 23: Matt Cundill's Sound Off Podcast today interviews Dan Misener from Bumper about podcast stats and the Bumper score. He talks about the missing data from YouTube, and whether stats should be public by default. "We're not trying to create standards," Misener says - people can agree to buy advertising "with no industry body having to write a white paper in order to make that happen".
- Jun 8: A measurement tool combining data from different sources, the Bumper Dashboard is now available for every podcast, free. The tool's new "Bumper Score" will also be available - what the company calls a standard benchmark that compares podcast performance in context. The company has also announced MCP server access for AI assistants.
- Apr 22: Bumper has launched The Bumper Score, a new tool "built to close the trust gap between podcast listenership and advertiser confidence". The company suggests that the next $1 billion in podcasting starts with better data; the tool uses verified metrics to give a simple score for strong verified reach. It will be free to all podcasters; you can join the waitlist now.
