Nov 14, 2025: You can now create and save your own templates in Descript. The service also supports more languages for translation and dubbing.

Sep 25, 2025: Laura Burkhauser was named CEO of Descript at the end of August. Andrew Mason is now Executive Chairman.
Sep 19, 2025: Descript has announced a set of new pricing plans, which new subscribers will get from Tuesday next week. There are currently no changes for existing customers; however, all plans will be updated later this year to include charging by “media minutes” and “AI credits”.
