- Feb 26: IAB Australia has published the Audio Advertising State of the Nation 2025. 79% of agencies say they’ll spend more on podcast advertising this year - more than advertising within streaming radio or streaming music.
- Nov 25, 2024: Podcasting is the fastest-growing ad format in Australia, according to data from IAB Australia. Podcast advertising for the quarter was up by 26.5% year-on-year at AU$31.4mn (US $20.5mn). Podcasts account for 40% of all online audio ad spend in the country (streaming gets 60%).
- Apr 9, 2024: The IAB Australia Podcast has been updated with four sessions from the Audio Summit, including a session about advertising within true crime podcasts, and "the balance of keeping crime content responsible while scratching the itch of crime obsessed Australians".
- Mar 5, 2024: True crime shows aren’t getting their fair share of podcast ad revenue, in spite of being one of the most popular genres, and skewing younger and more female.
