- Nov 13: Magellan AI and Australia’s ARN produced the Australian Podcast Advertising Report for Q3/25; though the report doesn’t give any total revenue figures. ARN, which runs the iHeart brand in the country, warned the stock market that its ad revenue has dropped 10% year-on-year; and shares have dropped further this week after the media regulator put restrictions on its leading radio show.
- Nov 11: Working with Magellan AI, podcast promotion company The Podglomerate has seen 51% of new listeners returning for multiple episodes, according to a new study. The company also used Magellan AI’s tools to spot delivery issues, recovering “five figures” worth of media value.
- Oct 23: Magellan AI has released its list of top podcast advertisers for September 2025. The top of the list is a company called Washable Sofas, which spent more than $7.3mn. We’ve been told we mustn’t make a JD Vance joke here, so we won’t.
- Sep 23: Amazon was the top spender in podcast advertising last month according to Magellan AI. GoDaddy increased its spend more than 44× in August according to the service.
- Aug 28: Magellan AI has released the first ever Australian Podcast Quarterly Benchmark Report. Working with ARN, we learn that the average ad load is 7.53%. (In the US, it’s 8.13%). Podcast advertising must be seen as fair dinkum by the advertisers, too - podcast ad spend saw an increase of 20% year-on-year. Crikey!
