In a case study shared by Edison Podcast Metrics and Nielsen Media Impact, moving just 5% of that TV money into podcasting reaches an additional 26 million people, at no additional cost.
- Mar 3: Magellan AI has integrated DMA data from Nielsen into its attribution reporting. It will enable advertisers to measure podcast performance across all 210 Nielsen DMAs - using the same geographic standards applied to TV and radio.
- Nov 13, 2025: Nielsen has hired its first Chief Client Officer. Peter Naylor comes from Hulu, Netflix, Snap and the IAB.
- Sep 30, 2025: Rejoice! Podscribe is now SOC 2 Type II compliant. (It’s a data security standard). The company has also announced a partnership with Nielsen for geographic market area data, and podcasts now have a “country of origin” in the dashboard.
- Aug 19, 2025: In the US, Nielsen released its Podcasting Today report. It reveals that podcasts represent about one-fifth (19%) of daily ad-supported audio listening time, which is second only to radio. And, listeners aged 18-34 spend 32% of their daily ad-supported audio time with podcasts.
