- Jul 23: British podcast producer Noiser has seen a year-on-year increase of 39% in UK listens, the company says - but what's really growing for the company is audiobooks-as-podcasts, including Sherlock Holmes Short Stories narrated by Hugh Bonneville, Pride and Prejudice narrated by Dame Julie Andrews, and Charles Dickens’ Ghost Stories narrated by Sir David Suchet; those adaptations drove 50 million listens over the last year.
- Apr 16: Noiser is to launch The Hound of the Baskervilles, a nine-part podcast series narrated by Hugh Bonneville. The show launches on April 27.
- Apr 1: History Daily, from Airship and Noiser, returns with its annual April Fool’s episode today. In a press release, we’re told that the story being told in the podcast is real (it's about a consequential but accidental military victory in 1572), but the advertisers are also from 1572. The show is working with Magellan AI, who apparently built a parchment-based dashboard to help these 16th century sponsors get the insights they expect, according to the company's Cameron Hendrix who dashingly appears in their press release, in a picture we suspect may be violating our rules about AI.
- Mar 10: Daring raids, epic battles, and empire-building: Noiser has launched Real Vikings today, with British actor Iain Glen (Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey). Real Vikings promises to change what listeners think they know about the Vikings and reveal why their legacy continues to shape the modern world.
