- Feb 23: Free podcast analytics service OP3 has published its bills for February. Podnews is a supporter to help pay for the service, which monitors lots of shows (here are over 1,300).
- Feb 18: PodcastAddict, which OP3 data shows is a top 10 podcast app with 1.8% of all podcast downloads, says it is making alterations to the feature "to produce safer results". However, we believe that the unwritten contract between podcast publishers and apps means that podcast apps should not alter accompanying metadata without creator control.
- Feb 13: Podstats, a podcast analytics platform is to close at the end of this month "due to lack of use". The tool gave AI-generated analysis emails - here's a recent one - and used OP3 for data collection.
- Feb 2: Podlytic appears to be a new analytics platform "that unifies your historical data with real-time tracking — no matter where you host". It connects to OP3 for real-time insights, and also imports older data from selected podcast hosts, and should allow you to switch podcast hosting companies without losing your data.
