- Dec 11: Riverside has launched the Riverside Community, a set of guides, how-tos and templates. There’s everything from microphone recommendations to tips for monetization in there.
- Dec 10: Riverside has raised $30mn in a new funding round. It previously raised $35mn in 2022, $9.5mn in 2021, and $2.5mn in 2020. The company has around 165 employees, and aims to be profitable in the next two years.
- Dec 9: Riverside has a whole host of online tools including a free transcription service, which doesn’t require registration and converts your audio into TXT or SRT. There’s also a podcast name generator, a test for your microphone or webcam, and other tools.
- Nov 20: These tricks to get live captions for every podcast you listen to - on whatever app you use - also work for every remote recording tool, like Riverside, Cleanfeed or SquadCast.
- Nov 18: Cleanfeed has made a number of improvements to the core audio quality of its remote audio tool. The Podnews Weekly Review uses this every week; advantages for podcasting over tools like Riverside and SquadCast are significantly lower latency and “what you hear is what you record”, rather than hoping that the local audio recording will be OK. Cleanfeed are a long-term supporter of Podnews, but we’d recommend them anyway.
