- Jun 10: Those who host their podcasts on Substack will be able to distribute video to Apple Podcasts "in a few weeks", according to a webinar with Substack Product Manager Zach Taylor (spotted by webinar-watcher Chris Stone). The platform also delivers video automatically to YouTube; it doesn't support Spotify video.
- Mar 13: Substack has launched The Substack Recording Studio. It’s a remote recording tool, and automatically produces auto-generated clips and thumbnails. You can also add logos onto the output.
- Jan 29: UK podcast production company Goalhanger has formed a strategic partnership with The Chernin Group to accelerate the company's US expansion. TCG is Goalhanger's first external investor (the company has been entirely bootstrapped until now, though co-founder Gary Lineker is a multi-millionaire). TCG has also invested in Audiochuck, Barstool Sports, and Substack.
