- Sep 11, 2025: After eight years, On Air Fest is to expand, “into an always-on cultural organization producing live shows, special projects, and brand + creator collaborations”. The Ambies awards ceremony will be part of On Air Fest in NYC next February. On Air @ Ludlow House is to host live tapings with creative storytellers and podcasters every fortnight; there is also the return of On Air Fest LA in November. (Disclosures)
- Apr 1, 2025: Airwave congratulates: Airwave show The Ten News won the Best News Podcast in The Ambies. The show is a bite-sized podcast for kids and their adults that explains what’s going on in the world.
- Mar 31, 2025: The Podcast Academy announced nine newly elected people to the Board of Governors. They are: Christy Mirabal, Donald Albright, E.B. Moss, Jennifer Sargent, Matty Staudt, Nikki Boyer, Pat Shah, Sirisha Kuchimanchi, and Ti King. Governors serve two-year terms, with at least 40% representing independent podcast professionals from companies with 20 or fewer employees. Tonight is the The Ambies award ceremony.
