- Apr 1: Today marks the launch of this year’s Podnews Report Card, our fifth annual piece of research into what podcast creators think of the platforms we all use. Previous years have uncovered significant pain points which have since been fixed by podcast platforms, including an easier method of submissions to Apple Podcasts, and control of comments about your podcast in Spotify. It takes just ten minutes to give us your views; we’ll report back in mid-May at The Podcast Show in London, and in this newsletter.
- Mar 20: Pete Wicks’ Man Made will make it to a live stage show for the first time in May, as part of The Podcast Show. The show explores life, relationships, mental health and the things men (and women) don’t always find easy to talk about.
- Mar 13: Steve Ackerman has been appointed a Non-Executive Director of The Podcast Show. Most recently Executive Vice President and Head of Global Podcasts at Sony Music Entertainment, he has had more than thirty years experience across audio in the UK and US. He’s interviewed this week about his new role in the Podnews Weekly Review.
- Mar 3: The Podcast Show London has revealed the first fifty speakers at the event in May. Speakers include Persephonica’s Dino Sofos, founder of Goalhanger Gary Lineker, ABC Australia’s Head of Audio Jessica Radburn, Amplifi Media’s Steven Goldstein, and Sounds Proifitable’s Tom Webster. - Jan 27: The Podcast Show London 2026 has announced its Advisory Board, including Steve Ackerman, Ruth Fitzsimons, Arif Noorani, Vicky Etchells, and our Editor, James Cridland. The event, which takes place in late May, also outlined its submission process for speakers and sessions.
