Senior Vice President, Podcast Sales

Airwave is looking for an exceptional sales leader to help build the next great podcast advertising business.
This is a player/coach role. You'll carry a meaningful book of business, close large strategic partnerships, and lead a growing sales organization. You'll spend as much time in front of clients as you do developing people, refining our sales process, and helping shape the future of the company.

What You'll Do
- Personally originate and close high-value podcast advertising partnerships.
- Build and manage a team of Account Executives, helping them prospect, pitch, negotiate, and win business.
- Recruit, hire, coach, and develop top sales talent.
- Establish sales goals, forecasting, pipeline management, and operating cadence.
- Expand relationships with holding companies, independent agencies, and direct advertisers.
- Work closely with creators to develop authentic host-read campaigns that perform for both advertisers and audiences.
- Partner with Marketing, Operations, Ad Ops, Finance, and Creator Success to ensure campaigns launch smoothly and exceed client expectations.
- Help define pricing, packaging, inventory strategy, and revenue opportunities across the network.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, client meetings, and marketplace events.
- Bring market intelligence back to the organization to help shape products and future offerings.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of media advertising sales experience.
- Significant experience selling podcast advertising, with particular expertise in host-read campaigns.
- A demonstrated history of exceeding multimillion-dollar annual revenue targets.
- Existing senior relationships across major agencies, brands, and media buyers.
- Experience leading and coaching high-performing sales teams.
- Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to develop creative partnership solutions rather than simply selling standard media plans.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where priorities evolve quickly.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- High integrity and strong follow-through.
