The Role
Do you have experience launching multiple podcasts and growing multi-platform audiences?
Have you mastered the most effective way to optimise podcast content, for it to reach new audiences?
The ABC Audio on Demand team is looking for an Audience Engagement Producer to drive processes and workflows around improving ABC podcast growth and discoverability on both ABC and third-party platforms, ensuring it content reaches new and diverse audiences. Reporting to Manager Programming and Strategy, the role will include:

Contributing to strategies for key audio on demand initiatives across multiple digital platforms to attract, grow and engage audio on demand audiences.

Gathering and utilising data and insights to identify methods to increase audience growth and engagement opportunities for podcast content across multiple platforms.

Collaborating with managers, content makers, digital, social and marketing teams to strategise, implement, measure and report on the effectiveness of show launch and growth strategies across the AOD slate.
About You
You have extensive experience managing a podcast production slate, including production, promotion, distribution, performance reporting and strategic direction, at a senior level.
You'll have:

An understanding of data and insights, and the ability to translate them into actions a production or marketing team can take, to stimulate further audience growth and engagement.

Extensive digital and content optimisation experience including the ability to apply SEO, GEO, meta-data, image and display character count optimisation to podcast content across a variety of third-party platforms, including Apple, Spotify and YouTube.

Demonstrated ability to proactively and collaboratively work across multiple teams with diverse ideas, to drive the roll out of audio and digital projects on deadline.
