A project or contract position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at Credentialing Chronicles.
Salary range: $40.00 to $50.00 (hourly rate) - subject to experience
Position Summary The Senior Podcast Producer & Multimedia Editor will own the episode-production workflow from planning through publication. This person must be equally comfortable shaping an interview, managing deadlines, professionally editing long-form audio and video, and turning strong moments into polished short-form content. The producer reports to the founder and works closely with both hosts. The producer will also collaborate with Amaya, who manages most social-media scheduling, posting, and editing of promotional posts. The producer will deliver strong, organized episode assets and creative direction; Amaya will continue leading day-to-day social scheduling and posting. What You Will Own Editorial Planning & Story Development
- Maintain a realistic episode, recording, and production calendar.
- Participate in regular weekly planning meetings with the hosts.
- Develop episode concepts, angles, titles, opening hooks, questions, and story structure.
- Research guests, organizations, cases, and episode topics as assigned.
- Prepare concise discussion guides that support the conversation without over-scripting the hosts.
- Recognize the difference between a technically clean episode and a genuinely compelling one. Audio & Video Production
- Professionally edit long-form podcast audio and video, including remote and multi-camera interviews.
- Improve sound quality, pacing, transitions, volume consistency, visual presentation, and audience retention.
- Remove unnecessary pauses, repetitions, technical interruptions, and distractions while preserving the hosts’ natural chemistry.
- Insert approved introductions, advertisements, sponsorship messages, music, graphics, and closing segments.
- Complete a full quality-control review before any episode is submitted for publication.
- Maintain organized project files, naming conventions, versions, and final deliverables. Short-Form & Promotional Production
- Identify the strongest moments, quotations, hooks, and story beats from every recording.
- Create polished vertical video clips and reels for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Prepare episode titles, descriptions, show notes, chapters, thumbnails or artwork direction, and promotional copy inputs.
- Deliver organized, platform-ready promotional assets to Amaya for scheduling, adaptation, and posting.
- Build repeatable content packages so one recording produces meaningful long-form and short-form value. Guest, Sponsor & Production Coordination
- Coordinate guest communications, recording schedules, deadlines, releases, and production requirements.
- Ensure sponsor advertisements and agreed deliverables are accurate, timely, and documented.
- Support special series, live recordings, industry interviews, investigative stories, and event-based content.
- Flag risks, missing assets, scheduling problems, or quality concerns before they become release-day emergencies.
What Success Looks Like
- Episodes sound and look consistently professional across platforms.
- Production deadlines are visible, realistic, and consistently met.
- The hosts spend more time hosting, interviewing, and creating—and less time chasing the production process.
- Every major episode produces strong short-form content, not random clips without context or hooks.
- Guests receive organized, professional communication and preparation.
- Sponsors receive every promised deliverable accurately and on time.
- The producer brings ideas, judgment, and solutions—not simply a list of tasks waiting for instructions.
- Credentialing Chronicles retains its fearless, funny, human voice while becoming stronger, sharper, and more scalable. Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience producing and editing interview-based podcasts, video podcasts, or comparable long-form media.
- Advanced audio-editing ability, including dialogue cleanup, mixing, leveling, pacing, and final mastering.
- Strong video-editing ability, including remote interviews, multicamera layouts, graphics, captions, and vertical conversion.
- A portfolio showing both complete episodes and short-form content created from long-form recordings.
- Excellent editorial judgment, organization, communication, and deadline management.
- Ability to receive direct feedback, explain creative decisions, and revise work promptly.
- Respect for confidential, sensitive, legally significant, or unpublished stories and materials.
- Ability to strengthen the hosts’ voices without making the show sound generic, overly scripted, or corporate.
- Reliable technology, file-management practices, and availability during agreed production periods. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience producing business, healthcare, investigative, news, interview, or story-driven content—and helping an established show improve quality, reach, workflow, or revenue readiness.
- Working knowledge of podcast hosting, distribution, YouTube publishing, analytics, discoverability, sponsorship fulfillment, live recordings, guest development, or audience-growth strategy.
- Healthcare or credentialing knowledge is helpful, but production excellence is more important. Engagement Structure This role begins as a paid 90-day independent-contractor engagement at $50 per hour.
We anticipate approximately 10–15 hours per week, depending on the production calendar. Standard work is capped at 60 hours per month unless additional time is approved in writing in advance. Continued engagement will depend on production quality, reliability, communication, turnaround time, organization, and measurable improvement in the show’s workflow and output.
The selected contractor will sign confidentiality, intellectual-property, and independent-contractor agreements. All recordings, project files, edits, graphics, promotional assets, research, episode materials, and other work created for Credentialing Chronicles will remain the property of Credentialing Chronicles LLC.
