ABOUT THE ROLE This is a dynamic, hands-on position where you’ll oversee HR operations, drive employee experience, and champion initiatives that promote an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance culture. You will manage everything from recruitment and performance management to employee relations, payroll, compliance, benefits, and organizational development. Your expertise will ensure that our HR systems run smoothly and that we continue to foster a positive and productive environment where employees thrive.

In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with leadership to implement HR strategies that align with our company’s goals while ensuring that the day-to-day operations are managed efficiently and effectively. You’ll be a trusted advisor for both employees and leaders, helping navigate challenges, offer guidance on compliance, and champion initiatives that foster a thriving, inclusive workforce. This role reports to the CFO.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES HR Operations & Systems Management: Oversee HR systems (PEO, 401(k), performance management, recruiting), ensuring smooth functionality and compliance. Maintain HR records and documentation across internal platforms. A key early project you will undertake is auditing our HR tech stack, suggesting which systems to replace and with what, and implementing these new systems. Recruiting, Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage recruitment for key roles, handle onboarding and offboarding processes, and ensure a seamless employee experience. Performance Management & Training: Administer performance reviews, goal-setting, and ongoing manager training to support employee development and align with company goals. Employee Relations & Compliance: Advise leadership on labor law compliance, handle employee concerns, and ensure adherence to the WGAE union contract. Maintain positive employee relations and foster an inclusive, supportive culture. A key early project you will undertake is building out processes and systems to ensure we are adhering to this union contract. Benefits & Payroll: Manage benefits offerings, open enrollment, and payroll tax compliance. Ensure employees receive guidance on benefits, including 401(k) programs. Keep HRIS updated and manage payroll. Policy Development & DEI Initiatives: Review and refine HR policies, including DEI strategies, to attract and retain diverse talent. Partner with leadership on organizational design and continuous improvements to hybrid/remote work policies. Facilities Management: Oversee and support the Executive Assistant/Office Manager in managing day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient working environment. Provide guidance on facility-related needs, including purchasing, building maintenance, and compliance with safety regulations.
