Soft and Savage, an independent podcast illuminates the great minds, great movements and great works across demographics that are actively shaping our future. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Production Assistant. This role is ideal for someone with at least two years experience with production logistics, and managing creative workflows from booking to distribution .Additionally the position requires social media expertise for sourcing and placing marketing P.R. clips for podcasters and the Soft and Savage brand

This position is based in Fairfield County CT

Responsibilities

Create, organize, and maintain production and guest schedules for studio and remote recordings.

Coordinate guest appearances, arranging in-studio or virtual (Zoom) setups.

Manage all communications with guests, from invitations to thank-you correspondence.

Collaborate with guest marketing teams and social media departments to align on promotional strategies.

Ensure content postings are executed across all platforms.

Maintain accurate records, files, and databases for all clients, episodes, and podcast-related materials.

Gather and archive guest bios, headshots, and contact details.

Draft guest communications, liner notes, and short promotional summaries.

Select audio and video clips for social media distribution.

Verify and manage accurate transcripts for each episode.

Track release schedules and ensure all deadlines are met.

Serve as liaison to the podcast’s PR agency for publicity and promotional efforts.

Support basic budget tracking, payroll coordination, and swag ordering for guests.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in podcast, broadcast, or digital media production. Strong organizational and communication skills.

Familiar with scheduling tools (Google Calendar, Airtable, Notion, or similar). Proficient in content and workflow tools (Dropbox, Google Drive, Zoom, etc.).

Working knowledge of social media platforms and digital publishing.

Professional writing and proofreading skills.

Detail-oriented, adaptable, and team-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Location

Flexible; remote with occasional in-studio coordination in the Northeastern U.S. or Middle East (depending on production calendar).

Compensation

Commensurate with experience. Freelance or part-time contract to start, with potential for full-time engagement.
