Social Media Coordinator (Strategy + Growth)
A project or contract Social Media Manager position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at Soft Human Voice Podcast.
Soft Human Voice Podcast · Soft Human Words Newsletter · Soft Human Movement
I’m seeking a Social Media Coordinator who is steady in execution and genuinely curious about strategy to support the Soft Human Suite, including Soft Human Voice, Soft Human Words, and Soft Human Movement, alongside me and my podcast producer. This role is not about hustle, virality, or growth at all costs. It is about thoughtful amplification — helping meaningful work reach the people it is meant for, without stripping it of nuance, depth, or care. The core content already exists. Podcast episodes are recorded, clips are selected by my producer, and written work is published consistently. What I’m looking for is someone who can help this body of work circulate more intelligently and relationally, while also offering grounded ideas for growth, discoverability, and connection over time.
About the work The Soft Human Suite centers on presence, intuition, sensitivity, embodiment, and meaningful conversation.
- Soft Human Voice is a long-form podcast that is quiet, spacious, and reflective
- Soft Human Words is a Substack newsletter rooted in lived experience and insight
- Soft Human Movement offers gentle, embodied practices (primarily qigong-based)
Our social media presence should feel the same — calm, intentional, and human. Never loud. Never rushed.
What you’ll support
- Scheduling and posting content across Instagram and Facebook
- Supporting light distribution and experimentation with YouTube Shorts (repurposed clips only, not heavy editing)
- Writing thoughtful, on-voice captions and descriptions
- Maintaining consistency without pressure or overproduction
- Light organizational support around episode and post assets (captions, links, timing)
- Gentle coordination with me and my podcast producer so the workflow feels smooth and humane
What this role also invites
- Strategic thinking around audience growth and discoverability
- SEO awareness, especially as it relates to podcast content, Substack, and YouTube
- Fresh ideas for how content circulates and connects across platforms
- Insight into how social audiences may organically evolve into listeners, subscribers, or future collaborators
- Thoughtful feedback on what’s working and where refinement may help
You do not need to have all the answers. You do need to enjoy asking good questions and experimenting carefully. This role is ideal for someone who
- Is familiar with — or genuinely interested in — the full Soft Human ecosystem, including embodied practices like Soft Human Movement
- Thinks beyond “posting” and enjoys pattern recognition
- Is comfortable offering ideas and perspectives, not just following instructions
- Understands that growth can be relational rather than extractive
- Has a working understanding of Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts
- Can balance intuition with light analytics
- Appreciates slower, intentional work as a legitimate strategy
- Enjoys collaborating with a small, respectful creative team
This role is not
- A high-volume posting job
- Trend-chasing or algorithm-gaming
- A growth-at-all-costs marketing position
Care, originality, and discernment matter more than speed.
Must-haves
- English as a first language (this role is writing-intensive and voice-sensitive)
- Responsive and reliable communication (timely replies matter more than being always-on)
- Comfort working independently while staying in clear dialogue
- Respect for boundaries, pacing, and collaborative process
Practical details
- Part-time, freelance
- Remote
- Very small time commitment to start (approximately 1–3 hours per week)
- Scope may expand slowly over time if it feels aligned on both sides
- Flexible schedule, generally aligned around episode releases
- Paid (hourly or per-project, depending on fit)
How to apply Please include the following with your application, which should be sent to me, Jessica Shepherd: moonkissd@gmail.com AND CC my producer, Noah Tetzner: noah@profitwithpodcasting.com
Prompt 1 – Strategic Curiosity Share one idea you’d be curious to explore for helping a podcast or creative ecosystem like Soft Human grow thoughtfully. This does not need to be fully formed — we are interested in how you think.
Prompt 2 – Voice + Execution Please include a short example (real or hypothetical) of how you might write a social caption for a reflective podcast or embodiment-based offering.
Alternate option for Prompt 2 (if you prefer reflection over copy): What draws you to this kind of content, and how would you approach sharing it on social media without flattening its nuance? You don’t need to be loud to apply. You do need to be perceptive.
