A part time Graphic Designer position
Fully remote: working with a USA-based team at Story On Media.
Are you a visual storyteller who knows how to bring a podcast’s brand to life through colors, typography, and eye-catching thumbnails?
Story On is looking for an experienced Graphic Designer to join our growing team. From creating compelling YouTube and Spotify thumbnails to developing full podcast branding kits, you'll play a critical role in the visual branding of the podcasts we produce.

About the Role As our Graphic Designer, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing unique custom podcast branding guidelines for our growing list of clients (cover art, episode-specific art, color palettes, type kits, and visual identity systems).
- Creating high-converting YouTube thumbnails for video podcast episodes.
- Maintaining visual consistency across all content and platforms.
- Collaborating with editors and producers to ensure brand cohesion across short-form, long-form, and promotional assets.
- Revising or expanding existing brand kits for evolving podcast needs.
- Organizing files correctly in our shared drive for team access.
Requirements:
- Passion: You love podcasts and have a sharp eye for how visual identity impacts listener perception.
- Portfolio: You have a strong portfolio of work that includes podcast artwork, brand kits, and YouTube thumbnails. You will also be able to explain how your YouTube thumbnails contributed to audience engagement and growth.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in brand design, preferably within media, podcasting, or content marketing.
- Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is required. Familiarity with Canva and other Adobe platforms is a plus.
- Creative Vision: You can translate a brand’s mission and voice into striking visuals. You understand the importance of matching a client’s branding with their voice.
- Communication: Must be an excellent communicator throughout projects. Must also be available for weekly team meetings.
- Timezone: Must be based in American or European time zones.
Working with Story On:
- You will be an Independent contractor, paid hourly. You must have your own technical setup for completing your work.
- Part-time position (approx. 10-20 hours/week), with potential to grow into full-time as the client roster and role responsibility expands.
- 100% remote. Work from anywhere in a compatible timezone.
- Must be available for weekly all-team check-ins and occasional one-to-ones.
