Tag A Gamer

A society & culture podcast from Jay
Website: https://tag-a-gamer.simplecast.com

There are more gamers in the world than care to admit it. Tag a Gamer explores Jay’s (SuperfishTV’s) mission to explore guests’ inner gamer and the memories, impact, and movements within the gaming sphere.

I (Jay) started this podcast after discussions with my housemate about Chloe, about how many hours she put into Animal Crossing. I couldn’t believe people put 1000+ hours into their hobbies but would still be closeted about their interests.

I take a premeditated yet unscripted approach in talking to my guests about their experiences and relationship with games. Do you spend hours in the character creation screen? If you were in a game what would your abilities be? Would you make VR avatar taller? Would you even make it look like you?

This podcast lives in the intersection between creativity, personality and gaming as a hobby.

I love pressing questions about digital vs personal identity but also silly questions like 'Luigi or Mario and why?'

This podcast takes an assessable approach to game content by focusing on the people who play them. I aim to remove the gatekeeping the gaming community has around the assessability surrounding games while also speaking to the hardcore gaming community that I have previously been apart of.

This podcast is also available in video format on my other socials!
