We dive into the history of the artist, the background of the song or album, and give our personal thoughts and relationships to the songs themselves.
We want this podcast to expose people to music they may not know, while encouraging our listeners to share their collections with us as well!

Who are Matt and Dave anyway?
We’re long-time best friends that came up in a time where finding music meant buying compilation CDs, scouring MySpace pages, and deep diving in forums we probably shouldn’t have been in to find a new artist or song (as well as infecting the family computer with four incorrectly labeled “Blink-182” songs). That fury spread when we picked up instruments ourselves and played together in local bands, making mix CDs for our adventures, and sharing the most obscure songs we could find.
We would always laugh about how random our playlists would be when we would “hit shuffle” and joked that it would be fun to have a podcast where we shuffled our music to see what happens. Couple that with our love of learning, and deep diving on band and music history, and that was when The Hit Shuffle Podcast was born.
