“hdgdl” ist wie eine Museumstour durch die späten 90er und frühen 00er-Jahre. In jeder Folge nehmen sich Yasmin Polat und Christian Alt ein Phänomen aus ihrer Vergangenheit vor, recherchieren wie es dazu kommen konnte und sprechen mit Insidern und Zeitzeug:innen. Ex-Talkshow-Moderator Ricky Harris ist zu Gast in der Show, genauso wie Michael Rick, der Erfinder der Tekkno-Schlümpfe und viele weitere Menschen, die diese wilde, seltsame und nostalgisch verklärte Zeit gestaltet haben. Das Ziel: Herausfinden, warum alles so war, wie es war. Und warum Yasmin und Christian sind, wie sie sind.
