Earning Ears
Do I have your attention? This is Earning Ears. A podcast about creating content that EARNS your audience’s attention.
Many B2B organisations focus on what they can get out of their content and what’s in it for them.
I want to see a shift in our mindsets around creating content. Content marketing is supposed to be pulling, not pushing.
Let’s make a shift—from grabbing attention to earning attention, from building an audience to earning an audience, and from growing a community to earning a community.
How do we do that? Well, isn’t that the question? Come along, pull up a seat (probably your car seat on the way to work), and join the conversation as we talk to the world’s best attention earners, audience earners, and community earners with real-world experience growing audiences from zero. Listen and learn how you, too, can make relevant and engaging content that earns your audience’s attention.
Who am I? If you decide to stick around after I earn your attention, let’s talk about that at the end of the episode.

Stats: Statistics are produced by Captivate and Spotify to help Earning Ears to understand how many downloads it is getting, or how many people are listening. Your device’s IP address and user agent is used to help calculate this figure. Captivate is IAB v2 certified. Here is more detail about podcast statistics.
Tracking and attribution: Spotify or its partners may connect the fact you listened to this podcast to an action elsewhere on the internet. For example - it may spot a device that downloaded an episode of Earning Ears later visited the website of an advertiser; or it may track that a device that listened to Earning Ears also listened to a different show. This form of attribution is used to measure advertising effectiveness.
Dynamic content insertion: Captivate may use limited data that they know about you - the device you’re using, the approximate location you’re in, or other data that can be derived from this, like the current weather forecast for your area - to change parts of the audio. Earning Ears may do this for advertising or for other forms of content, like news stories.
Earning Ears is able to use the above tools since its podcast host or measurement company offers this service. It doesn’t mean that this individual podcast uses them, or has access to this functionality. We use open data.
