Finalists announced for 4th annual Anthem Awards

The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS) announces the Finalists for the 4th Annual Anthem Awards, the largest and most comprehensive social impact award, presented by the Webby Awards. Launched in 2021, the Anthem Awards celebrate the purpose and mission-driven work of the individuals, companies, and organizations making a difference worldwide. Notable Finalists include Jelly Roll, Foo Fighters, Valerie June, Lainey Wilson and others with Power to the Patients; Becky G with NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts’ 'El Tiny’ Takeover; Rare Beauty by Selena Gomez; Google; Everytown for Gun Safety; the Ad Council; DEPT; The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; ESPN; World Central Kitchen; Planned Parenthood Federation of America; On Purpose with Jay Shetty; AARP; Amazon Music; UNICEF USA; Nike Inc.; CNN Worldwide; GLAAD; Samsung Electronics America; Clinton Global Initiative; LinkedIn; PepsiCo; The Daily Show hosted by Jon Stewart; United Nations; the NAACP; and Gov. Tim Walz, Gov. Wes Moore, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, and Gov. Tony Evers with the Democratic Governors Association.

This year’s Finalists also include a number of podcasts such as The Lost Olympians (ATTN:); Sexual Orientation, Race and Hate Speech (Bloomberg); The Black Fatherhood Podcast (Jill Ruby Productions); Our New South (Next Chapter Podcasts); Autistic Counterstories (Studio De Nok); Tuckered Out with Ami Thakkar; The Process (Brewer Audio); On Purpose with Jay Shetty; Plus SideZ; What We Mean When We Talk About Genocide (Immigrantly Media); Wrongful Conviction (Lava for Good); The Frequency of Courage; The Towncast; PRX Big Questions Project; Father Forgive Them; Bonus Babies; Intercross: The Podcast (International Committee of the Red Cross); How to Fix the Internet (Electronic Frontier Foundation); and Going Wild with Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant (PBS Nature).

Supporters can celebrate this year’s Finalists online until Thursday, October 31st. The for-profit and nonprofit entries in each category with the greatest amount of support will win Anthem Community Voice Awards. All Finalists are also in the running for Gold, Silver, and Bronze Anthem Awards chosen by IADAS. Finalists can be supported at celebrate.anthemawards.com.

Bloomberg, Tony’s Chocolonely, Carrot Fertility, Burton Snowboards, Lush Cosmetics, H&M, Morgan Stanley, Taco Bell, United Airlines, L’Oréal Paris USA, JPMorgan Chase, Nike Inc., Liquid I.V., and many more are Finalists this year for their commitment to making a difference.

From new AI innovations to continued calls to protect children from online dangers – Responsible Technology categories saw a 50% increase in submissions this year. The Anthem Awards are proud to recognize the innovative organizations working in this space including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Deutsch LA & Petsmart Charities, GivingTuesday, Human Rights Watch, T-Mobile, the Center for Democracy & Technology, EY, Headspace, and many others.

This year’s Anthem Award Finalists were selected from over 2300 submissions from 34 countries by the (IADAS). Anthem Award judges are intellectually diverse leaders from across the impact industry with expertise that spans across the Anthem cause areas including: Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion; Education, Art, & Culture; Health; Human & Civil Rights; Humanitarian Action & Services; Responsible Technology; and Sustainability, Environment, & Climate.

The Anthem Awards were launched in 2021 to celebrate and highlight the incredible social impact work happening around the globe. By amplifying the voices that spark global change, the Anthem Awards aim to inspire everyone to take action in their own community. The awards were founded by The Webby Awards in partnership with the Ad Council, Born This Way Foundation, Feeding America, GLAAD, Mozilla, NAACP, NRDC, WWF, and XQ.
