As the award-winning podcast studio marks its fifth anniversary, Pineapple Street Co-Founder Max Linsky talks to 70 remarkable people over the age of 70 on weekly interview series.

Pineapple Street Studios, an Audacy company, today announced 70 Over 70, an original podcast series created and hosted by Max Linsky, co-founder, Pineapple Street Studios, that reimagines the concept of the traditional “30 under 30” list through a weekly interview series featuring conversations, stories, wisdom, and reflections from 70 remarkable people over the age of 70 from a wide range of backgrounds, including Madeleine Albright, Dan Rather, Norman Lear, and Alice Waters.

On 70 Over 70, Linsky sits down for a wide range of candid, surprising, poignant, in-depth conversations with notable guests—including his father Marty—to explore not just their past or greatest accomplishments, but their lives right now and the big questions we ask ourselves no matter how old we are: how we make the most of the time we have left? What does it mean to live well? What are we still searching for, and what does it mean to let go?

Season One of 70 Over 70 features Linsky in conversation with Sister Helen Prejean, leading advocate for the abolition of the death penalty; Tony, Emmy, and Grammy award-winning actor Andre DeShields; legendary Grammy-winning artist Dionne Warwick; veteran journalist Dan Rather; famed chef and restaurateur Alice Waters; Congressman and Majority Whip James E. Clyburn; physicist and best-selling author Michio Kaku; acclaimed illustrator Maira Kalman; former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright; actor James Hong; beloved children’s entertainer Raffi; American labor leader Dolores Huerta; long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad; legendary television writer and producer Norman Lear; and celebrated poet Nikki Giovanni.

The 70 Over 70 cover art was designed by Kalman, and every episode will have an accompanying original drawing of the guest by another artist over 70, Lynn Staley, who also happens to be Linsky’s mom.

70 Over 70 will launch on May 20, 2021 on Apple Podcasts, Audacy, Spotify and everywhere podcasts are available. Beginning May 25, 2021, new episodes will be available every Tuesday.

“The chance to make this show, particularly over the last year we all just had, has been the opportunity of a lifetime,” said Linsky. “There’s nothing I’d rather be doing than talking to people like this about what they’ve learned and how we can all make the most of the time we have left.”

Pineapple Street Studios was founded in May 2016 in Brooklyn by Linsky and Jenna Weiss-Berman. As the award-winning, Peabody-nominated studio marks five years, it continues to expand its slate of critically acclaimed high-quality original podcasts—including Wind of Change, Missing Richard Simmons, Welcome to Your Fantasy, Running from COPS, and The Catch and Kill Podcast with Ronan Farrow—as well as series created in partnership with leading brands including HBO, Netflix, Nike, and Hulu. Since its founding, twelve of Pineapple Street’s shows have reached number one on the Apple Podcast charts. Pineapple Street Studios swept the 2021 Ambies awards with three wins for Wind of Change, the most for any series.
