Today, Apple shared the most popular podcasts of 2024, with year-end charts localized for listeners in nearly 100 countries and regions. The 2024 charts are available in the Browse tab through the end of the year, and include the top podcasts overall, the top new shows that debuted this year, the most followed shows, the most shared shows and episodes, and the top free and subscriber channels.
Listeners in over 15 markets can also explore Shows We Love, a curated collection of standout narrative and episodic series that resonated this year.
On Tuesday, December 3, Apple Podcasts will reveal the Show of the Year.
Podnews adds: Here are a few of the top shows in the following countries:
Apple Podcasts on the web allows you to easily(ish) see the lists for all the countries.
If you’re on an Apple device, these links may open the Podcasts app in your own country, rather than these links - to get round that, right-click or long-press the link, and choose “Open link”.
While the Apple Podcasts press release promises localised charts for over 100 countries, we only see 33 countries with charts available in this manner. (The choice of supported countries also perhaps gives us a clue as to the editorial focus of the Apple Podcasts team).
