Be Your Change Media announces the release of the second season of Be Your Change podcast and the launch of the first podcasting retreat for female changemakers

Be Your Change Media announces the second season of Be Your Change podcast amplifying voices of female changemakers available on all podcast platforms starting on Sep 10th, 2019.

Women are traditionally underrepresented in the media landscape—- from ownerships to features —-yet play a critical role in improving communities. Be Your Change podcast talks with women changemakers who are leading the way in bridging that gap in Los Angeles and around the globe. Be Your Change focuses on women who aim to build a more sustainable and inclusive society: social entrepreneurs, non-profit and community leaders, artists and media entrepreneurs. The show discusses global issues with a solution-oriented approach and provides insights on how we can all be the change we want to see in the world.

The show highlights many women involved in different local and international communities. “Los Angeles is a laboratory in terms of women and social impact. We are committed to spreading the word about women who are helping to shape a better future for everyone. The second season shares the work of women in different parts of the world because we all need to get educated by the solutions everyone is working on to accelerate the pace of positive change. Our mission is to bring many more of these stories to our audience to inspire them to take actions.” said founder, Juliette Roy.

Along with Season 2, Be Your Change media is launching the first podcast retreat for female changemakers.

“I have been meeting so many extraordinary women that almost no one covers in the mainstream media. I am always interested in talking to women who are not visible in the media but are doing incredible things. I realized we need their voices in the world, and the best approach is to teach them how to develop their own podcasts. I am so excited to work with Ruxandra Guidi who is teaching this retreat. She has so much talent and experience.” said Roy. The retreat will take place Nov 13th -17th, 2019 in a private ecological paradise near Tucson, Arizona owned by a leading female environmental activist. Only a few people have ever had a chance to discover this amazing property.

Based in Los Angeles, the founder, executive producer and host, Juliette Roy is a French-American advocate for powerful storytelling in the hopes of creating positive change. Working in audio for over 20 years, Roy started her career in the music industry as a festival producer and worked around the globe. In 2012, Roy lead the broadcasting department of Live365 and helped with business development for Spreaker in San Francisco. She is active with the Women’s Audio Mission and Fair Trade Los Angeles.
