Cheerful Earful 2025 announces star-studded guests across festival lineup

Press Release · London, UK ·

Cheerful Earful, the world’s funniest podcast festival, has revealed a brand-new batch of comedy stars joining its October 2025 edition across London, Melbourne, and New York.

Leading the charge is Brett Goldstein, Ted Lasso star and creator of the global hit podcast Films To Be Buried With. Known for grilling Hollywood’s finest on their cinematic life stories, Brett will also make a special appearance on Birthday Girls House Party at the festival.

He’s flanked by fellow comedy powerhouses including Nish Kumar, Ben Whitehead (the official voice of Wallace in Wallace & Gromit), and a roll-call of the UK’s funniest performers dropping into London shows as special guests.

This year’s festival was already bursting with over 50 podcasts across 15 days; and now the UK leg is supercharged, with a who’s-who of comedy favourites crashing the line-up.

Headline guest announcements include:

  • Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso) on Birthday Girls House Party
  • Nish Kumar on 101 Jobs with Giles Bidder
  • Ben Whitehead, the official voice of Wallace in Wallace & Gromit, on Limited Time Only
  • Sophie Garrad on Guestimators
  • Ria Lina on Lateral and Cheap Show
  • Alasdair Beckett-King on Lateral and Go Home, You’re Drunk!

These names join the previously announced roster of festival headliners such as Trusty Hogs, BudPod, and Lateral with Tom Scott, alongside international shows in Melbourne and New York.

Festival Director Giles Gear said: “One of the joys of Cheerful Earful is the mix of brilliant podcasts and their even more brilliant guests. This year, audiences will not only see their favourite podcasters but also some of comedy and entertainment’s most recognisable names. We’re especially excited to have performers like Nish, Brett, and Ben joining the party.”
