Alex Goldman Introduces “Hyperfixed” Podcast

Press Release ·

Acclaimed audio creator Alex Goldman today announced Hyperfixed, a new podcast brought to listeners in partnership with Radiotopia from PRX, the Pulitzer Prize and Peabody Award-nominated network of leading independent producers.

Maybe it’s just a quiet annoyance you’ve grudgingly learned to put up with, or a life defining issue that makes it hard to move forward. Whatever it is, Alex Goldman — reporter, radio producer, and overconfident idiot — will get to the bottom of it (if there’s a bottom to be found. Results may vary). On Hyperfixed, follow Alex as he figures out not only the vast hidden mechanisms creating these problems, but works with listeners to find solutions.

An audio trailer is available now. Two episodes will be released free across all major podcast platforms on Thursday, September 19 as an introduction, including personal guidance on the rules of the road in New York City. The series will resume with new episodes in fall 2024 on an ongoing basis.

“After spending years unraveling the wildest corners of the internet on Reply All, I’m beyond excited to bring that same energy and dedication to Hyperfixed,” says Goldman. “This time, I’m diving even deeper and looking into the systems, sometimes hidden and sometimes obvious, that create all types of problems in our lives. If you’ve got a problem, I’ve got the obsession needed to solve it.”

Listeners are invited to submit their life’s dilemmas for Goldman to shed light on with a blend of wit and thorough investigation. Submissions can be made online at HyperfixedPod.com.

Hyperfixed is created, produced, and hosted by Alex Goldman, a founding producer and co-host of the beloved podcast Reply All. Hyperfixed is also made with producers Emma Courtland (Crime Show) and Amor Yates (We Met on Tinder).

“As longtime fans of Alex’s work, we especially appreciate his curiosity, humor, and commitment to involving his listeners in his endeavors,” said Audrey Mardavich, Executive Producer of Radiotopia from PRX. “We’re thrilled to partner with him on Hyperfixed and to help bring the show to listeners everywhere.”

Find Hyperfixed via podcast platforms such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Overcast, Pocket Casts, and iHeart. A premium subscription will be available through the Supporting Cast platform, offering benefits such as bonus audio content, blog-style musings, and direct communication with Alex and team, with more planned benefits added over time.
