Love and fandom collide in Me and AU, a new Canadian fiction podcast debuting June 25 from the Procyon Podcast Network.

All Kate “ACunningPlan” Cunningham wants to do this summer is watch her favourite new Canadian TV show, Selkirk, write fanfic about her favourite new TV show (also Selkirk) and think as little about the future as possible. But when she strikes up a friendship with a fellow fic writer, that plan gets a lot more complicated. Because Hella--Enchanted is funny, smart and writes canon-divergent werewolf fic like no one else. She’s everything a fandom could ask for.

But… what if she’s everything Kate could ask for, too?

Over its 15-episode run, Me and AU explores love, fandom, growing up and the communities we make on and offline. The series features a majority Canadian and LGBT+ cast.

“Me and AU is based on a queer experience that I and a number of my friends have had,” says showrunner Andrea Klassen. “Which is trying to flirt with a girl by writing her 2,000 words of fanfic about her favourite characters. There’s a special kind of intimacy that you can find in shared enthusiasm and creation, and the love story at the centre of this show reflects that.”

Episodes will release every other Thursday.
