Ashley Flowers of Hit Podcast Crime Junkie Expands Podcast Slate with New Projects Under audiochuck Banner

Los Angeles CA, USA—audiochuck, the independent podcast network founded by leading podcasting entrepreneur Ashley Flowers of Crime Junkie, today announces a new slate of original content set to launch this fall and early next year. The network currently sees 31M+ monthly listeners and growing, with podcasts in both the scripted and unscripted spaces. The first of the slate is season two of the hit series, CounterClock, which launches today. Counterclock is produced by Flowers and hosted by investigative journalist Delia D’Ambra. Season one debuted at #1, and unlocked enough new information about the cold case murder of Denise Johnson that officials say they are now re-investigating the case.

Produced by Flowers and hosted by investigative journalist Delia D’Ambra, season two will focus on a on the 1990 murder of Stacey Stanton. Authorities consider this case closed but many in town, including Stacey’s family, believe the wrong man was convicted due purley to racial bias.

Full Body Chills (S2) - Launching October 2020, Scripted

Produced and hosted by Flowers, Full Body Chills is inspired by spooky stories told around the campfire. S1 debuted at #1 in Fiction on the Apple charts. S2 will feature new episodes, narrated by Flowers with the help of voice actors to add a fun twist -- many of the stories were written and submitted by fans.

Red Collar (new series) - Launch Date TBA, Unscripted

When white collar crime ends in violence the FBI call that a Red Collar crime. Each week host Catherine Townsend will share a new story with listeners of a time when white collar crime turned deadly.

O.C. Swingers (new series) - Launching Q1 2021, Unscripted

Justine Harman (The Baron of Botox, Broken Harts) will write and host the 10-part series about the ongoing case against Newport Beach orthopedic surgeon (and former Bravo reality star) Dr. Grant Robicheaux and his girlfriend, substitute teacher Cerissa Riley. When the news broke back in September of 2018, the world gawked at the unlikely—and seemingly squeaky clean—criminals. Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas suggested there was video evidence that the handsome pair drugged and raped over 1,000 different women. And when an unsealed search warrant resulted in a haul that included unlawful guns, drugs, and cash, the two were characterized as a modern day Bonnie and Clyde. Things only got weirder from there.

Dark Arenas (new series) - Launching Q1 2021, Unscripted

For this interview-based podcast, journalist Delia D’Ambra will interview professionals that work in some of the most interesting fields related to crime-solving. From the ATF, FBI, to a former CIA spy, Delia gets a behind-the-scenes look at what it is really like to work in a Dark Arena.

These new shows join Park Predators, which launched in July 2020 and debuted at #1 on the charts. Hosted by Delia D’Ambra, the podcast recounts some of the most horrific and mystifying true crime events that have occurred in and around national parks and forest lands within the United States and Canada.

Signature podcast Crime Junkie launched in December 2017, and has experienced unprecedented growth, now seeing upwards of 31M listeners per month across platforms and regularly reaching the top of the Apple Podcasts charts. Answering the demand from fans for more content, Flowers created audiochuck to build a catalogue of podcasts tailored specifically for female fans of the crime genre. 90% of Crime Junkie’s listeners are women between the ages of 18-35. As part of audiochuck’s 2020 and 2021 growth plans, the company has signed a first look deal with AdLarge’s cabana to produce four original shows together over the next two years, including CounterClock.
