Studio Ochenta announces slate of Spanish language podcasts this fall to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month

Paris, France—Studio Ochenta, a Paris- based podcast studio dedicated to raising voices across cultures through multilingual podcasts will be releasing a slate of Spanish language podcasts this Fall in honor of “El mes de la herencia hispana” - Latinx Heritage Month.

The first new show is a mini-series on its international podcast Mija. The show, which reached #1 in Drama and Fiction on Apple podcasts in France, Spain and China, will be releasing a mini-season after its season finale on September 16th, 2020. “Mija Shorts” will share short fictions from Mija’s universe in Latin America, telling tales and anecdotes from: “those alive, those long gone, and those still dreaming” in the form of short 3-4- minute episodes. The stories will be available on Mija Podcast Spanish Podcast English podcast feeds from September 21 to October 15th. Tune into Mija’s season 2 season finale to hear a sneak peek.

Studio Ochenta will also be launching “Como No viajar,” a Spanish language adaptation of Ochenta’s hit original podcast: How Not To Travel, hosted by award-winning travel influencer and digital educator, Dr. Kiona. At a time when travel has been forever transformed, the show brings listeners a unique perspective on travel. In short, 10-minute episodes, the podcast tackles issues such as travel privilege, travel language, safety, and more. All 7 episodes of the first season of the show will be published at once on September 21st, 2020. The Spanish language version is voiced by Mexican voice actress, Neyla Cantu.

Finally, Ochenta’s lockdown podcast: Ochenta Stories, a podcast that collects stories from lockdown around the globe and translates them for the world to hear, will be releasing a Spanish language version called “Ochenta Cuentos” this November.
