New York NY, USA—Award-winning podcast Other Men Need Help has launched its third season. Other Men Need Help is a narrative non-fiction audio series that takes a playful look at the emblems, habits and struts in the male performance, and deconstructs how they mask a quiet need for connection. After two seasons focusing on accountability and examining the quiet ways men try to connect, season three zeroes in on friendship between men, celebrating its bonds and gently exploring what goes unsaid. From greetings and secret handshakes; hidden beefs and childhood friends facing cross-country moves, a diverse collection of voices from all over the world (ranging in age, race, and class) will add their experience to the show’s exploration of best friendship in its many forms.
Accolades for the past two seasons of Other Men Need Help have appeared in Men’s Health, Wired, Los Angeles Review of Books, Financial Times, Good Housekeeping, and The Washington Post. In addition to 16 regular season episodes, nine bonus episodes, and four live events, host Mark Pagán and Other Men Need Help have made guest appearances and contributed to WNYC’s Nancy, Spoke Media’s Family Ghosts, and The Gender Knot. The series has won a Latin Podcast Award, Audience Award at IFP’s Made in NY Media Center, and was nominated for a 2019 Webby Award for Best Individual Episode.
The nine episodes in the third season will be released bi-weekly from July through November on all major podcast streaming platforms.
