Podcast.co Launches, Partnering With Spotify & Headliner
This article is at least a year old
Podcast.co - the full-service podcast agency and hosting platform from the team behind Radio.co - are out of beta testing, marking the occasion via partnerships with Spotify & Headliner in order to provide customers with an easy way to enhance their content and distribute their podcasts.
With podcast listeners growing exponentially over the past year, music streaming giant Spotify has taken the podcasting world by storm. Running just behind iTunes, Spotify racks up millions of listeners through podcasting alone.
Hitting the ground running, and in order to help their users’ podcasts reach a wider audience, Podcast.co has not only just launched as a paid product, but has partnered with Spotify. This partnership will make submitting shows to Spotify easier for podcasters whilst cutting down the amount of time it takes to keep users listings up to date.
James Mulvany, founder of Podcast.co has stated “we’re excited to announce that all customers of our hosting platform will benefit in being listed on the Spotify podcasting directory. Millions of users all over the world use Spotify across multiple devices, meaning if you get listed on this directory - unlike other directories - your podcasts immediately become available across a range of platforms (iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Web Etc) giving our customers maximum reach and compatibility for their listeners. Spotify have also invested significantly into podcasting this year and we see a huge opportunity in working with their team.”
Alongside a new hosting partner, Podcast.co understands the importance of making the most from your podcast through social media and has joined forces with Headliner**, the leading solution for audio discovery on social media**. Working as a UK partner, Headliner will provide Podcast.co customers one-click access to create social videos directly within their platform, ensuring that the creation of audiograms and trailers for your podcast is easier than ever.
Why have Podcast.co partnered with Headliner? Mulvany says that “promoting your podcast across social channels using video clips (known as audiograms) is a popular option for podcasters. It allows podcasters to increase their reach significantly. Neil Mody and his team at Headliner have created an awesome web-based tool to make this process as easy as possible, so offering this as part of our services will bring tremendous value for our users in line with our ethos of making podcasting simple and accessible to as many creators as possible. Brands and agencies will all benefit from having these marketing superpowers!”
