Global podcasting conference returns to Tampa

Podcasters will converge on Amalie Arena over November 4th and 5th for the 2021 edition of Podfest™ Multimedia Expo, an annual conference that began in 2015 and has grown to a global event that attracted two thousand attendees to Orlando last year.
“We are bringing the event back home,” said Podfest™ Founder Chris Krimitsos. “It started in a hotel on Westshore Boulevard six years ago and has grown to one of the biggest in the world. The time was right to put on this world class event at the home of the team that is on top of the hockey world. That’s why we’re calling this edition Podfest™ Origins.
“Because of Covid it has allowed us to have a limited, ticketed event at Amalie Arena, taking place alongside the Florida Bitcoin and Blockchain Summit. Podfest™ Origins will be a hybrid event, to allow for online access, although speakers and attendees will be traveling from around the world for the in-person component.”
Podfest™ has been certified as a GUINESS WORLD RECORD™ holder, having earned during last year’s pandemic the title for the largest attendance for a virtual podcasting conference in one week.
Podfest™ is a community of people who are interested and passionate about sharing their voice and message with the world through the powerful mediums of audio and video.
Podfest™ Origins will take place in the Amalie Arena suites and feature education by speakers who are veterans in the podcast space. There will also be a video component for YouTubers called VidFest during the event.
Tickets for both the in-person and virtual facets of Podfest™ Origins are on sale at www.PodfestExpo.com, with Virtual Session 1 taking place October 28 and 29, and Virtual Session 2 being held November 1-3, leading up to the two days at Amalie Arena.
Podfest™ Multimedia Expo will return to Orlando next May (26-29, 2022) at the Hilton Orlando Hotel Convention Center.
