Park City UT, USA—The number one network for daily, local sports podcasts, Locked On Podcast Network, taps veteran sports podcaster, Jay Soderberg, as the company’s first Executive Producer.

Soderberg brings 25 years of broadcast experience and more than 15 years of direct experience in sports podcasting to Locked On. He spent 16 years at ESPN, first as a radio producer before leading digital programming for the network where he created over 25 original podcasts and produced award-winning content for ESPN.com, Fantasy Focus, The BS Report, Football Today, Baseball Today, NBA Today and ESPNU College Football and Basketball. Soderberg has most recently been the head of content for the BlogTalkRadio and Voxnest.

The Locked On Podcast Network, founded in 2016, by innovative broadcaster and radio voice of the NBA’s Utah Jazz, David Locke, is growing rapidly. The company produces short-form daily podcasts for avid fans covering their local sports team and the major sports leagues. In the last year, the digital media company has expanded coverage into college sports and Major League Baseball, adding to its already industry-leading daily podcasts for all NBA and NFL teams. Locked On’s audience has doubled year over year to nearly 6 million listens a month.

“The exponential growth of the network demands a highly respected executive like Jay to help guide our roster of over 100 daily podcast shows,” commented Locked On CEO David Locke. “Our network has come a long way from its humble beginning, with one solo NBA podcast, to now being able to attract top industry talent like Jay. We are thrilled to be working with him to expand our network’s reach in innovative and exciting ways.”

With more expansion set for this fall, Locked On expects its lineup of team, league, and general sports podcasts to expand to over 120 individual podcast shows, producing more than 525 episodes a week by the end of the year. “I’ve been watching Locked On’s amazing growth and I am pumped to work directly with the talented team of hosts and up-and-coming personalities that Locked On has assembled,” said Soderberg. “We will be producing daily content that serious sports fans just cannot get anywhere else in the podcast-sphere.”

In addition to Soderberg, Locked On also added Doug Branson, founder of Pod About It, as the network’s producer of sound and production quality, along with Sean Woodley as a producer of content development.

The Locked On Podcast Network is the nation’s #1 producer of daily local sports podcasts and one of the top producers of podcast episodes in the country. Locked On covers NBA, NFL, and MLB teams, as well as leading major college sports teams and conferences with over 100 short-form, less than 30 minutes, daily podcast shows reaching avid sports fans wherever they live. The company also produces nation-wide podcasts covering the major sports leagues and has some of the industry’s top-ranked draft and fantasy sports podcasts. Locked On’s audience has double year-over-year to nearly 6 million monthly listens and growth continues strongly upward heading into 2020.
