International podcast industry leaders to speak at The Podcast Show 2024

The Podcast Show, the biggest international festival for the business of podcasting, is returning to London on 22nd and 23rd May 2024 at the Business Design Centre, Islington, to celebrate and give a platform to the podcasting industry the world over.

The show has become the go-to destination for the podcast community globally, bringing together creators, brands and industry leaders from around the world to help shape the future podcasting landscape.

Today, the Show has announced that Will Pearson (President, iHeartPodcasts) & Carrie Lieberman (COO, iHeartPodcasts), Alison Lomax (Managing Director, YouTube UK & Ireland), Richard Knight (Director of Audio, BBC Studios), Ross Adams (CEO, Acast) & Tiffany Ashitey (Managing Director, The Americas, Acast) will be speaking with many other major industry figureheads joining them.

These leaders of the podcasting industry will be bringing their combined international expertise to the main theatres at the Show, delivering some of the programme’s stand out sessions, key notes and taking part in panels to give the international picture of podcasts, discussing everything from the impact of AI to the part marketing can play in disrupting the industry.

Will Pearson (President, iHeartPodcasts) will give an exclusive keynote, ‘The State of Podcasting’, on day one of the Show. The podcast industry has seen tremendous growth over the past five years and is predicted to see the most growth of any media channel in 2024 by 2X. Who’s listening? How is listenership changing? What are advertisers learning and what trends should we expect in the year ahead? Will is set to give his take on the industry, whilst also sharing a few listening recommendations.

Alison Lomax (Managing Director, YouTube UK & Ireland) will deliver a keynote speech on the value YouTube can offer Podcasters and Creators alike as well as be joined on stage by a special guest to discuss Podcasts on YouTube.

Richard Knight will also give his first public address on stage since moving into his role as Director of Audio at BBC Studios.

The full session programme will be announced in the coming weeks and delegates can look forward to other stand out international perspective sessions like:

  • ‘Podcasts: Asia’s New Media Habit’: Timi Siytangco (Key Account Director in Sales, Acast Asia)
  • ‘Tuning into 550 million listeners: On the Spanish language podcast market and the future of podcasting’: Nuria Net (Founder Shake it Easy Media), Lory Martinez (Founder & CEO, Studio Ochenta), Marcus Hurst (Co-Founder & Creative Director, El Extraordinario)

The Show has also announced The Podcast Show Official Party hosted by Spreaker and Triton Digital. The Show’s first Official Party will be taking place on Wednesday 22nd May at an exclusive London venue, with internationally renowned DJ Pete Tong and guests taking to the stage, with complimentary drinks provided all night by Spreaker and Triton Digital. The event is exclusively for Platinum Pass holders, who are encouraged to RSVP in order to secure their attendance.

Silver passes have sold out, but Gold (1 day £89 /2 day £165) passes and Platinum (2 day £245) passes are still available. Platinum passes include fast track entry to all main theatre sessions, invites to The Official Party hosted by Spreaker and Triton Digital and drinks after each show day hosted by Acast at The Acast Arms in the Skinny Kitchen at the show venue, as well as invites to daily networking breakfasts with key industry leaders speaking at The Show and daily ‘Brands and Podcasts’ networking breaks.
