Hamden CT, USA—Royal Wedding with Rob Shuter, a podcast hosted by the renowned gossip columnist, launches this month from Collisions, the podcast division of CRN International, and Shuter vows it will be “your ultimate royal wedding insider” for the marriage of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Royal Wedding will take listeners “inside the church, to the bridal shower, into the palace and everywhere in between,” said Shuter, who is well known to celebrity watchers as host of VH1's The Gossip Table, a regular guest on the Today Show, and former publicist for Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson and other A-listers. He also publishes the popular website, NAUGHTYGossip.com.
“I love to talk and gossip, and no one excited me more than Meghan and Harry,” Shuter added. “This podcast is a match made in celebrity heaven. Weddings and love and palace drama dish keep me up at night. Now thanks to my partnership with Collisions, I can share all my exclusive Royal needs with you. I’m sure the Queen is already listening each week, and so should you [wink].”
Randy Fenoli, host of TLC’s "Say Yes to The Dress,” and TV baker Buddy Valastro, better known “Cake Boss,” are among the podcast’s first guests.
“We are excited to add Royal Wedding to our growing podcast portfolio,” said Kelly Travers, Collisions’ Director of Podcast Operations. “The whole world is fascinated by Prince Harry and his American sweetheart Meghan Markle, and Rob brings a wealth of contacts, charm, know-how and style to the venture.”
The weekly Royal Wedding episodes are available on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, iHeart, SoundCloud and many other podcast networks. The show will run through the month of May, and Collisions may extend it beyond the “honeymoon.” “Interest in the Royals is always high, and we will consider making this an evergreen podcast if our audience wishes,” Travers said.
The podcast will integrate and be promoted on a wide array of social media, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Shuter, Editor at Large for OK! Magazine, has hundreds of thousands of social media followers and readers of his website. He will also promote the podcast on his television and personal appearances.
"We expect a very large worldwide audience and are delighted that our initial outreach to potential advertisers has shown a high level of sponsorship interest,” said Barry Berman, president of CRN International.
Royal Wedding marks the latest podcast offering from Collisions, a full-service podcast company that offers original podcasts for curious listeners, a variety of strategies for marketers to use podcasts to extend their brands in unique and effective ways, and a suite of services for podcast producers.
