The San Diego Union-Tribune relaunched its San Diego News Fix podcast this week with new host Kristy Totten. Listeners can join Totten weeknights for an overview of the day’s news, in-depth reporting and opinion.

In addition to bringing you the day’s headlines, Totten will talk with Union-Tribune reporters about the biggest stories of the day. Totten will also be inviting members of the editorial and opinion team to share their take on current affairs, as well as hear what community members have to say about the latest issues affecting the San Diego community.

Totten is a member of the innovative Ideas and Opinion team at The San Diego Union-Tribune, where she has worked since 2019. She also co-hosts the “Name Drop San Diego” podcast with colleague Abby Hamblin. “Name Drop San Diego” is a weekly podcast that celebrates people who have shaped San Diego and been shaped by it.

Last year, Totten and Hamblin produced and hosted a nine-part series podcast titled “Hello Gen Z,” which introduced listeners to the most ethnically and racially diverse generation in American history. Generation Z, comprised of people born in and after 1997, is like no generation before it.

San Diego News Fix with Kristy Totten is available wherever you get your podcasts and online at www.sandiegouniontribune.com/podcasts.
