Sex With Emily — Emily Morse’s hit podcast that has helped millions of people around the world navigate their sex lives and prioritize pleasure — has joined Acast, the creator-first podcast company. Acast will host, distribute and monetize the series across all podcast listening platforms, and will develop the show’s footprint globally.
Sex With Emily is a titan in the world of podcasting. Morse launched the show from her living room in San Francisco in 2005, when podcasts were few and far between, to cover a spectrum of topics related to sexual health and wellness. The show has since become one of the longest-running sex and relationship podcasts, reaching fans of all genders and attracting all age groups — from 18 year olds to listeners in their 80s. The podcast consistently tops the Sexuality category on Apple Podcasts.
“I’m so excited to partner with Acast, a true leader in the industry,” said Morse. “Tapping into their innovative technology and expert team will allow the Sex With Emily brand to continue on our strong growth trajectory. Acast’s proven success in the global marketplace tees them up to be the perfect partner for Sex With Emily to acheive its mission of expanding reach to effectively liberate the conversation around sex worldwide.”
Morse, who also hosted and executive produced the Sex With Emily radio show on SiriusXM from 2018 to 2021, will now exclusively focus her efforts on the podcast series, accessible for free for all listeners. Fans are able to call into a hotline to record their questions, which Morse addresses on the podcast and her recently relaunched YouTube channel.
In addition to hosting the series and distributing it across all podcast players and platforms, Acast will expand its reach and its profitability across markets. The company — which has a global footprint across 12 countries — will monetize the show through ads, sponsorships, and premium ad products available through the Acast Marketplace.
“Emily is an icon in the world of podcasts: an early adopter who turned her passion for sex education into a sustainable business that educates and inspires people every day,” said Rebecca Steinberg, Director of Development at Acast. “She’s a prime example of Acast’s ethos to empower independent creators of all sizes as they develop unbreakable bonds with their audiences.
“What Emily has created is a safe space for people to explore topics that are intimate and personal — and we’re so thrilled to be able to bring her important conversations to audiences all around the world, on every platform.”
Morse is represented by UTA, who negotiated the deal on her behalf.
Fans can find the show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Amazon, Overcast, or wherever they get their podcasts.
