Realm, an audio-first digital media company with a global podcast network boasting over 12M monthly downloads, today announced an exclusive distribution deal with the educational self-improvement and Apple Top 200 podcast Something You Should Know. As part of this partnership, Realm will now represent the show for ad sales.

Something You Should Know is a podcast dedicated to delivering life-changing insights in every episode. Hosted by radio industry veteran and interviewer extraordinaire Mike Carruthers, the show features interviews with top experts across various fields, offering listeners fascinating information and advice to help them save time and money, advance in their careers, improve their relationships, and get more out of life.

With over 9.2 million downloads in the last year, the podcast, which debuted in 2016, has achieved over 80 million downloads and become a trusted source of wisdom, expert information and practical tips. Past guests include renowned figures such as Tim Ferris, Alan Alda, Steve Case, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Gretchen Rubin, Brian Grazer, Daniel H. Pink, and John Cleese.

Carruthers initially developed Something You Should Know as a radio feature that aired on hundreds of stations across the U.S. and Canada before being adapted into a podcast. Ken Williams, co-founder and Managing Partner of OmniCast Media with Carruthers, previously co-founded Dial Global, the largest independent national radio network and audio-based media company in the U.S., before co-creating and executive producing Something You Should Know. Their deep-rooted history in radio has significantly shaped their approach to podcasting, blending traditional broadcasting excellence with modern digital storytelling.
