Boston MA, USA - This year’s annual Sound Education conference will be held at Harvard University, WBUR CitySpace, and Boston University from Wednesday, October 9th through Saturday, October 12th. Our programming is packed with an exciting lineup of keynotes, workshops, panels, public talks, live podcast tapings, parties, meet-and-greets, and breakout sessions.

The podcasts represented at this year’s event draw from a wide range of disciplines such as history, STEM, art, politics, linguistics, music, and more. Programming topics include podcasts in the classroom, how to be a podcast guest, editing, budgeting, marketing, audience growth, reusing content for multiple platforms, and the current state of podcasting. While Thursday’s workshops and Friday’s panels are designed to help audio creators learn new skills and make professional connections, Saturday’s “festival of ideas” is a full day of public talks given by some of the most influential voices in educational podcasting.

Keynote speakers include Helen Zaltzman (host of The Allusionist), Mike Duncan (host of Revolutions and The History of Rome), Noah Feldman (Harvard Law Professor and host of the Deep Background), Tony Phillips (WNYC Studios, VP of On- Demand Content), and Julia Barton (Executive Editor, Pushkin Industries).
