Voiceworks.ai has teamed up with the UK’s largest distributor of materials to the construction sector, Travis Perkins, to launch a brand new podcast: Trade Talk.
Trade Talk is the latest podcast to be produced by Voiceworks.ai, a collective of audio and voice technology experts. The show is aimed at those working in the trade, keeping them up to date with latest news and advice for the industry, through conversations with those working within it. Travis Perkins marks the latest household brand to join Voiceworks.ai, which will provide production execution support for the new series.
The series is hosted by podcast and radio presenter, Sally Wallace, whose husband has 15 years of experience as a builder. She is joined by Karl Conway of KLC Builders from South Manchester and Jake Keenan, a Travis Perkins branch manager at Congleton, who share their own blend of insight and experiences for those in or thinking about joining the trade.
In its first episode, Wallace talks with Conway and Keenan about their experiences of apprenticeships and training, as well as accounting and bookkeeping within the construction industry.
Speaking about the partnership with Travis Perkins, Sophie Hind, Managing Director of Voiceworks.ai, said: “It’s been fantastic to work with Travis Perkins on the Trade Talk series, and to welcome such a huge brand to our portfolio. We’re increasingly seeing household names harness the commercial power that podcasts can bring to their marketing and audience engagement strategies. The medium captures attention in a way that over channels no longer truly can. By involving those close to the industry, in the way that Travis Perkins has done with Trade Talk, makes for an authentic and interesting experience for listeners, building brand awareness and loyalty in a space that can be incredibly competitive.”
Matthew Aitken, Head of Marketing at Travis Perkins said: “It is full of great tips, subject matters that the trade might find helpful and relatable. We’re really excited to be working with Sally, Karl and Jake who each has different experiences in the construction sector. At Travis Perkins we have a long heritage of doing what matters for the trade and think each episode will help equip tradespeople with valuable insights and advice.”
Sally Wallace added: “I’ve been married to the trade for almost 16 years and presenting and hosting podcasts and radio shows for the same time. Hosting 'Trade Talk’ for Travis Perkins produced by the team at Voiceworks is a dream combination for me. The episodes are fun, informative and a chance to share relatable stories and topics of the trade, with a little insight to the madness of my home life, as a trade wife.”
