Libsyn has launched Libsyn Studio Beta, "an all-in-one free platform for new and casual creators to plan, launch, and distribute their podcasts". Here's a how-to video showing how it works. It publishes shows directly to Libsyn - here's a test show we made - and contains a midroll ad and postroll credit. Libsyn Studio builds on the company's acquisition of Auxbus a year ago.

Libsyn has acquired Glow, a podcast membership monetisation platform, for $1.2m. In February, Libsyn acquired podcast production platform Auxbus and earlier this month acquired ad company AdvertiseCast.

Podcast host Libsyn are to acquire AdvertiseCast, a podcast advertising company, for $30m. Last year, AdvertiseCast brought in $12m in revenue, and grew 45%. "We expect to generate meaningful revenue by offering the AdvertiseCast solution to Libsyn’s customers," said Libsyn President Laurie Sims. Libsyn acquired podcast creation platform Auxbus in February.

Last week, we reported the ACPM Podcast Ranker in France. Today: the other one, run by Médiamétrie, reports that January hit 100m global downloads of podcasts by their French publishers, almost all radio broadcasters. An incomplete ranker, it measures participating publishers only.

Libsyn has acquired podcast creation platform Auxbus. Launched in May 2019, Auxbus is a web-based podcast production platform "that lets you plan, record, and launch all in one place". Ryan DuVal, Auxbus Chief Engineer, will "join Libsyn to lead its newly formed Creation product line", says the press release. Terms weren't disclosed; Auxbus was put up for sale in December 2019.

Auxbus has started a Kickstarter for a new feature called Auxbus Connect, a way to record remote interviews or co-host a podcast from anywhere in the world.

Auxbus, a podcast creation company, has won an NC TECH award as a top ten startup to watch. The company encompasses all the steps of podcasting: planning, recording, one-button voice adjustment, adding music, episode assembly and automatic distribution.

Exclusive: Auxbus has launched a new feature, called Episode Assembly. They tell Podnews that "with the press of a single button, Auxbus gathers up all your raw recordings, prepares them, adjusting levels, trimming silences, tuning them, arranging them according to your episode setup; then mixes in your music, and the result: your finished podcast in a matter of seconds." The product is currently free for a trial period.

After a successful fundraising round, Auxbus includes a number of proprietary features including sound processing, studio-quality connections, automatic episode assembly and distribution to major platforms. Podcaster John Lee Dumas has joined the company as Chief Ambassador.
