    We should have known better: we suggested yesterday that Libsyn might be the only podcast hosting company that both supports video podcasts and can automatically upload those videos to YouTube. Of course, Castos also offers this feature.

    hashtags are a thing - Castos helps us understand the best hashtags to promote podcasts and shows. It's also worthwhile mentioning that Mastodon, a fast-growing social network, uses hashtags extensively. (We're there!)

    In Dec 2021, Adobe revealed Project Shasta, which we noticed in Oct 2022 had rebranded to Adobe Express Podcast. It's now branded Adobe Podcast beta, and offers a mix of Descript-like "Edit words, not waveforms", SquadCast-like "Remote recording", and Auphonic-like "AI-powered audio" - and there's a waitlist on the website.     Blubrry has partnered with Descript to allow Descript users to publish their edited podcasts directly from the app. Blubrry joins Buzzsprout, Captivate, Castos, Hello audio, Podbean, Podcast·co and Transistor with this functionality. Blubrry publishing is also available directly from Hindenburg.

    Podcast Motor, a podcast editing service, has merged with podcast host Castos. Craig Hewitt remains founder and CEO of both companies, which were operating separately.

    Podcast host Castos have launched Castos Productions, a "fully integrated editing and production service within a hosting platform". Customers can upload raw, unedited files, and get fully-mixed podcasts with show notes and marketing assets like tweetable quotes and audiograms.

    Castos, developer of a podcast hosting WordPress plugin, Seriously Simple Podcasting, is joining TinySeed - a remote first startup accelerator. "We're very excited about what it means to our company to be a part of such an elite group of startups, and what the future holds for the business from this point forward," founder Craig Hewitt tells us.
