    Entale's iOS app has had an overhaul. It now showcases movies and TV shows you mention in podcasts, has a new player design, a new discover screen, and works faster.

    Radiodays Europe, a large conference for radio and podcasting in Lisbon, Portugal, is going ahead at the end of March. It has announced a number of keynote speakers, including Entale's Wil Harris; and has covid-19 information on its website.
January 24, 2020:
    Entale, the visually augmented podcast player, has launched an Android version of their podcast app. It's in the Google Play store now. They've also launched their first "Entale Original", a show called 'Making The Cut', hosted by TV presenters Davina McCall and Michael Douglas.

    Exclusive: 2020 looks like it might be the year podcasting finally gets smart, says Entale's Wil Harris, writing for Podnews: "It’s clear from just about every survey of consumer trends that podcasts are only increasing in popularity ... and supporting that requires not just experiences that can scale beyond the hand-curated, but data and monetisation that can support that growth."

    The Bugle - the audio newspaper for a visual world - has moved to Entale, using the company's new RSS transfer feature. The podcast used to be part of Radiotopia, but has recently attempted to gain even more independence, much like the country of Andy Zaltzman, the main host. (Entale)

    Laudable is a new project which aims to kickstart UK local news in an audio form. The organisation is working with Reach plc and JPI Media, two of the country’s largest regional news publishers, and Entale, an interactive podcast platform. It received a US$560,000 grant from Google's Digital News Initiative.

    The BBC has worked on an experimental podcast player that gives topic segmentation, transcripts, data charts, external links and sharing by topic/sentence. They're demonstrating it with a podcast about statistics. This comes off the back of Entale launching a new release last week.
February 8, 2019:
    Entale, a visually augmented podcast player, has released a slew of new features. Entale 3.0 features artificial intelligence, adding extra information and context automatically to podcasts. Their Entale Original podcast Life and Lipstick performed, the company reports, extremely well - with "almost 50% of listening time spent interacting with content and a third of listeners shopping via the app." You can also sign up to test the Android app.

    Visual podcast app Entale has added bookmarks to their app; opened the waitlist for their Android app, and announces that they're 91% funded.

    Entale, an iOS podcast app, is out of beta. The app "adds pictures, maps, links, quotes and chapters to your favourite shows for a rich, interactive experience." It launches with a special version of M&S-sponsored I'm Absolutely Fine by The Midult, which Entale are also hosting.
