Exclusive: Since 2019, Andrew Michaan and Cole Hersch have set up their folding table and microphones for Podcast But Outside - interviewing strangers and celebrities alike, all for a guest fee of $1. The show today moves to comedy podcast network Headgum, which has had quite the acquisition spree recently. We also hear that Cole is to leave the show - today's new episode is his last.

Headgum are making you an offer you can't refuse - a new comedy podcast called Chicken Podmesan. NYC-based comedians, Dan Licata (SNL, Late Night with Seth Meyers) and Nick Naney (The Tonight Show) are hosting the six-episode part improv / part interview comedy series, where they play characters interviewing Italian-American figures and comedians, discussing all aspects of Italian American life - from the food and their family antics to why there are so many guys named Tony.

Why Won’t You Date Me? with Nicole Byer has joined comedy podcast network Headgum. The first show under the new partnership features an interview with comedian and personal friend of Nicole, Lauren Lapkus (Orange Is the New Black, Crashing, The Big Bang Theory). As part of the deal, Nicole will begin recording video episodes from Headgum’s LA and NYC studios. Headgum will also manage the show’s ad sales through Gumball.

The Handsome podcast has joined Headgum. The comedy show is hosted by Tig Notaro (The Morning Show, Star Trek), Fortune Feimster (Good Fortune, Fubar), and Mae Martin (Feel Good, SAP), as the show celebrates 20 million listens in just over a year.

The Lamorning After has joined Headgum's slate of shows. Ad sales for The Lamorning After will be facilitated by Gumball. In the inaugural Headgum episode of the podcast, Lamorne and Kyle chat with Saturday Night director Jason Reitman about the film, which releases nationwide October 11.

Thanks Dad with Ego Nwodim is new today from Headgum, and Saturday Night Live's Ego Nwodim. Ego has funny, heartfelt conversations with a range of guests about their experiences with their own dads and as parents themselves. Each episode wraps up with her getting practical advice from her guests such as how to get the best deal when buying a house, how to know you’ve found “the one,” and how to perfect your jump shot.

Random Order Podcast has joined the Headgum comedy podcast network. "We're excited to align with other prolific comedians on the network to expand our roster of guests and topics and reach a diverse new listener base," said one of the hosts, Jermaine Richards.

Tig and Cheryl: True Story makes it to episode 100 today - a podcast where comedians Tig Notaro and Cheryl Hines discuss a zeitgeist-y documentary "with plenty of hilarious diversions and memorable stories along the way". The show is now on Headgum.

Corked is a new "true" crime comedy podcast from comedy podcast network Headgum. Miles Fletcher, an audio journalist for NPR-esque “Public Radio America”, is contacted one day by Jeffers Tatum Trench, an affable but troubled young man from rural Louisiana. The story? Lyle Le Monde, a famous, brash winemaker in Napa Valley, is living under a false identity, and Lyle’s girlfriend, Frances Meyer, who went missing several months prior, was murdered by him.

Headgum has just announced that it has signed Tig and Cheryl: True Story to the Headgum Podcast Network. The show features comedian Tig Notaro and actor Cheryl Hines, who discuss a new documentary every week.

Phoning It In, an improvised phone-in show, has made it to episode 100. Part of the Headgum Network, the show includes a woman who's been stuck in Dublin Airport for the last two weeks, while waiting to get her teeth done; and a funeral director who tries to convince the host to buy a TV that also comes with a DVD player for some reason.

Headgum has acquired the Too Scary, Didn’t Watch video podcast, and launched a new show called Keepin' It Rel. Average weekly downloads for its Headgum Original podcasts have increased 50% year-on-year, the company says.

Dane Cardiel has joined Headgum/Gumball to become Vice President of Business Development. He was a founding member of Simplecast, which was purchased by SiriusXM 12 months ago. It's one of a series of high-profile management changes in the industry - more tomorrow.

Breaking: Comedy podcast network Headgum has launched Gumball, a marketplace to allow brands to buy host-read advertisements directly from podcasters. Gumball has been in-use internally at Headgum for its own podcasts, and has been used by 300 brands for over 4,000 host-read ads.
